I want to replace an old-fashioned fixed setpoint thermostat with a more modern adjustable one. The old thermostat is nothing more than a mercury vial that is supposed to trip at 72 degrees, but ends up heating the place to about 80 instead. It is wired to the boiler through a Honeywell RA832A relay. On the wiring diagram for the relay, the leads that go to the thermostat are both labeled "T" and is listed as a "series 80 thermostat". Can I hook up a more modern adjustable thermostat to these wires? I recently bought a Honeywell CT31 Low-voltage thermostat but there is no "T" label in the diagram only W, R, Y, and G
