Having square feet is a serious handicap.
As you tried to overcome that by using a heat loss estimate program, you were on the right track.
However, you don't give any of the information to us that you gave to the estimate program, so there is no way to check.
You say you renovated with new insulation, but you didn't say whether you insulated to 1960's insulation standards or 1990 insulation standards, which makes a BIG difference. If you insulated to 1990 standards or better, then the 72,000 btuh boiler should be sufficient.
