My boiler is 4 years old. From day one it has had a problem with the pressure switch. When the boiler gets to the pressure switch stage of it's start up process, it usually hangs there for a few seconds, then stops completely. It can do this up to 6 times, before finally making it through that stage and completing it's cycle. The pressure switch stage is the last stage before firing the burners.

I've replace the pressure switch twice. No help. I've recently had a plumber out and he thought maybe the outside exhaust pipe and the air intake pipe were to close together. He added an extension on the exhaust. It made no difference. That only cost me $400!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
