Hi.. I have a single line steam system.. Just put in a new gas boiler ..New Yorker 172,00 BTU and it runs fine. I replaced the 3 main air vents with Hoffmann 75's.. Does anyone know how many Main vents there should be?..as I have found another main.. which would be 4...I have a 2 story Victorian. One of the main vent pipes, the THIRD one, were capped off near a pipe leading to my kitchen....which was getting very little heat.. Now that I put the vent on it.. The kitchen gets full radiator heat and a few others are lacking... Was wondering if I should put the 4th Main in and see , switch the valves on the radiators around, or try to supervent the "cool" radiators.** When I ran the boiler before replacing the Third Main.. all rooms except the Kitchen were fine. Any Ideas?? Thanks Steve
