+++ The installation instructions that come with the boiler tell the installer where to place the Hartford Loop in the near-boiler piping, how high and the dimensions of the Hartford Loop, so they make mention of the Hartford Loop. If he is going to follow the installation instructions, he is going to follow the Hartford Loop instructions in the installation instructions.

140,000 btuh per #2 oil gallon times 1.25 is 175,000 - so is correct.

Installing a boiler of at least the same input as the old is one way to go about sizing.
