Actually, I had to back off on that (about 10 degrees, if memory serves) because, when the water WAS hot, it was scalding -- at times it seemed to be mixed with steam as it sputtered out of the faucet. After I did that, the water was plenty hot for a shower about 80% of the time, but not about 20% of the time.
