Having an auto air bleeder at the boiler won't help an air pocket up in the 2nd floor piping.
You should have a bleader valve upstairs to vent.
You should also have a shut off on the add on piping to close it while you get the air out of the other loop. You'll probably find a second zone will make the house more confortable, but not needed to at least get the heat going.
