Don't be confused, whatever WM recommends for their boiler is the basis of code approvals and is to be followed. Who else would be the people to listen to?

The recomendations from wm call for using only one supply line to the riser. is this correct?
+++ If they said so, it is correct.

Should i use both with a drop header?
+++ A drop header is useful to prevent collecting water in the main, which can cause banging.

also they call for a 2and a half inch riser. Is that also correct?
+++ They said so, and there is no other greater authority than their design engineers, other than local code officials who might not have a clue.
