Installing new radiator to 1 pipe system

I want to install a new radiator to my
existing 1 pipe steam OLD system.
If I cut the loop pipe near where the
radiator will be located above, how do
I patch in the new "T"?
Do I have to get a pipe threader and use
two unions?
Is there a type of compression fitting that
precludes pipe threading?
Any thing that I have to watch out for?
Thanks for any help.
George
