By flushing with a chemical you are causing several problems. Every 25 gallons of water brings in one gallon of air which contains a/5th oxygen to corrode any ferrous metals inside the boiler. As your water is high in hardness, you also bring in fresh hardness to settle inside the boiler. The chemicals are acidic to remove hardness, so you are bringing in a mild acid.
The water that has become neutralized after leaving it for a while is woth its weight in GOLD, as it no longer has acid nor oxygen in it as that has been bound to the rust and hardness in your water. So you have been throwing away gold to pay for the idea that a SEALED boiler system needs to be cleaned of nothing that can enter a SEALED system yearly. Caveat Emptor.
If you really MUST clean it yearly (just to have something to do in retirement or as a hobby that has no good purpose), do so with distilled water from the supermarket, it is MUCH cheaper, deoygenated and pure. Ther is NO boiler manufacturer that recommends a yearly chemical cleaning of the water inside the boiler, in fact, it can void warrantees.
