Converting Burnham RS-112 to Indirect DHW

I am converting a Burnham RS-112 to Indirect DHW with tank and was wondering if I could just leave the tankless coil in place or should I remove it. Removing it would leave a rectangular opening that I would assume I'd have to find a cover plate for.
