I just checked all the piping to be sure there are no blockages, and all appear to be warm / hot throughout.
I removed the thermostat to insure that the contacts are all secure. The anticipator setting was at .4, so I moved it to .9 as you stated.
I did notice that the thermostat only flashes occasionally when I change the setting. I am wondering if the problem may be in the thermostat to begin with. I have 25.8 volts at the control, so I know there is power. I will give it some time since I just changed the anticipator, and if that doesn't cure the problem I will buy a new thermostat.
I'll repost with the results.
