I have a utica boiler that cycles on and off on occasion. It will spark......ignite the gas....fire for about ten seconds....then shut off......then repeat. It does this repeatedly. What should my thermostat anticipation settings be at. I have a standard round honeywell thermostat. I have replaced the control switching unit on the side near the gas inlet(not sure what you call that). Can that switching unit get too hot affecting its performance? I have had a technician look at it and he fixed a lose wire in the box where the power supply comes in.
Can dampness in the basement affect these controls? I have a dehumidifer running constantly but the preesure overflow pops now and then so i have a container of water right next to the boiler.
Any suggestions?
