Well, we started the repipe work of my copper tube Lochinvar boiler with the Ergomax E65 reverse indirect as a buffer tank. Per Ergomax instruction sheet, they want the hottest water from the boiler entering the tap on the top of the Ergomax unit.
Here is what we have so far....
We have 2" copper pipe that goes from the Ergomax to the boiler. Right at the Ergomax, we have our 1.5" return header from the house teed into the 2" pipe returning to the boiler.
On the top of the tank, we have the water coming from the boiler teed to the 1.5" pipe that will go up to our supply header with the individual pumps.
The checkvalve (swingcheck) is in the middle of the 2" run that goes from the boiler to the Ergomax.

We will be putting the expansion tank/makeup water in the 1.5" supply pipe that goes to the individual pumps from the tank.
Does all this sound ok so far?
