I have a similar concern. Our system has a line that seems to have been placed too close to an exterior foundation wall, and it haz frozen shut on several occasions. Fortuantely it hasn't burst (YET). So, I'm thinking of adding an antifreeze solution. My question is how do I select a product to add. I've read not use to 'automobile' products as they are not designed for hydronic systems. This system uses a cast iron boiler, copper baseboard radiation and is zoned into 6 areas using B&G ComforTrol Valves. It does not have a domestic hot water coil.

Thanks,

Jim
