I have a Honeywell 8124 aquastat running 3 Honeywell V8043 zone valves and 2 24V thermostats (a 3rd thermostat is battery operated). I test voltage at 22V when 2 zones are calling.

I also have a Taco SR501 for the indirect tank aquastat to switch the circ pump for the indirect. It always reads @ 27V.

Sometimes one zone valve seems to stick and not open. Tap the zone valve case and I hear it start to whirl and open the valve.

Could there not be enough voltage to power the zone valve properly?

Could I tie the SR501 and 8124 24 voltage leads together to get more power to the zone valves.
