My only concern with keeping the vent where it is was that the air would have to go past the inlets of all the individual zone pumps before hitting the vent, since the vent is at the end of the header (in the cap).
I had just figured that if at least one zone pump is running, it would entrain air into the given zone.
That would only be a problem for the radiant floor, which does not have an air vent of its own. (All air handlers have vents on them).
