Squeezing out a little more heat

Own a old farmhouse in NE PA. I have
single pipe steam heat. The Only small
bathroom is over the kitchen with a 24
inch radiator. Doing kitchen remodeling
and exposed the boxed in 1.25" bathroom
riser pipe and cast verticle sewer pipe.
My question is Would I get some valuable
additional kitchen heat if I can put
Fins on the riser pipe and leave it exposed?
Is it worth doing? Or should I just build a
small cabinet over both pipes.
Thanks
