How about if I pass all the boiler water through the buffer tank on the output side of the boiler? In other words, have the water come out of the boiler and enter the tank having a shutoff valve between the buffer tank tees so that the tank is in series in the boiler loop. (no water could bypass the tank). The water would then travel up the boiler loop to the supply manifold.
