My current oil burner has a crack in it and is leaking water. Heat pro if you read this I hope to hear from you soon, (you were helpful to a buddy of mine). I wanna give you some info, my current boiler provides steam and hot water (5 gal capcity), it recently ran dry causing a crack in the boiler. Due to me adding cold water. I am in a financial bind and being the begining of winter I am not sleeping at night.

I want to get a hot water heat gas boiler and a tagaki tankless HW heater. This was a project schedualed for spring of 2006. Is there anything I could add to buy me more time to slow the leak? If I set up the tagaki HWH first, will that reduce the stress on the boiler now? Also, how can I tell if my gas meter will support this new system? I was explained about the meter bar, a refreshment would help on that. Are there any safety issues to worry about trying buy time? Such as boiler exploding?
