I would still be concerned with main line vents. The reason is that the purpose of a main line vent is to quickly vent the main line. This will allow the radiator vents to vent the vertical pipes and rads only. It helps to balance the system. Was ther correct vent(s) installed? make sure the entire main is insulated. With a properly operating main line vent the vent rate of the radiator vents are adjusted by the size of the radiator and length of vertical vent.
