: : In my search for a new residential hot water boiler, I have been considering purchasing a Burnham V8 boiler. I know that the Burnham V7 series have had leaks due to casting problems. The V8 design is suppose to fix the problem. One Contractor says they have already replaced a few V8. I am not sure if this is true or if they are promoting other boilers for other reasons. Has any residential customer's out there had problems (leaking or other) with Burnham V8 series boilers?

: I have a Burnham 2A series, 9 years old that started leaking 2 weeks ago. Burnham will give the replacement block but no installation. I think there warrenty isn't worth the paper its printed on. I would look at other mfg's before I would choose Burnham again.

: Is a 2A series the same as a V8 series? This does not address my original concern. I am still interested in whether any Burnham V8 series boilers out there have had the same problems as the V7 series, or is the problem fixed?
