My 40-year old boiler is not working. I have one contractor suggested to put a Laars NP125 and quote $4,350 while another contractor quote $5,250 for a Burnham Newyorker 125,000 BTU. I can't find New Yorker on the web at all. He stated that the Laars is cheap boiler and the the price may not include everything that he is offering such as new expansion tank, etc.
Is it also the Burnham is cast-iron and Larrs is steel? Which is better?
Really confuse and need quick decision. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
