Thanks geoboy for the response to my post about the mystery pipes - we never could find where they might have come out up in the attic but we did eliminate them from the system and when we filled the system with water everything was fine. Now the next problem - our former system was steam and now we are hot water. I have one radiator that seems to have a hairline crack which appears to have been repaired years ago but now is leaking a bit of water. What is the best way to repair a cast iron radiator? I put some metal epoxy on it just to get us by but I'd like to make a more permanent repair. Is there a supplier of new cast iron radiators out there? Thanks!
