I recently bought a house that has an oil boiler in it and baseboard fin heaters. The top of the house heats fine, half of the bottom floor heats fine and the basement heats fine. The problem occurs in three rooms only, all part of an extension on the lower floor. The heaters remain stone cold much of the time, although SOMETIMES, when I bleed air out of the pipes this makes water move through and bring heat with it. Sometimes however, it seems like there is no water in these pipes at all. In trying to bleed the pipes there is no air or water. Any suggestions?
