Oil smell/fumes

I bought this house a few months ago that has an oil burner with single pipe steam. Last week the kitchen started smelling strongly of oil. I assume its fumes from the combustion but I'm not sure. I had the oil company come out and they basically cleaned eerything, found LOTS to clean, but didn't find anyting clogging the exhaust in particular.

Now the smell is back in force. Its really bad.

The oil burner is in the basement. It doesn't smell there right around the burner. Just in the kitchen, and to a lesser extent the room above it.

Any advice? The gusy who service it are stumped and say they don't have time fish around for the problem because they are too busy. Any help appreciated.
