You'd like to send bubbles to a Spirovent before the air gets up into the system. Pump away from an expansion tank on the supply side toward the Spirovent, so the Spirovent is slightly pressurized by the pump instead of having the pressure lowered at a Spirovent on the return side. Extra pressure from the pump helps the bubbles leave through the Spiro's vent.
