Thanks Heatpro> I really appreciate your help. Yes, you're right I have a circ. pump on the new zone as well as one on my existing zone, each controlled by a separate thermostat. The only problem with your solution of having the new (radiant floor) zone just circulate hot water from the other zone is that the other zone is not always on, and I don't feel it necessary to heat the entire house when I am only trying to heat one room.
So would an aquastat controlling the boiler's operation work or am I not undesratnding its function properly? It seems that could be wired in line with the new thermostat and thus the boiler would only fire for that zone when the temp was BELOW a preset limit, say 180 deg. F.
Again I really appreciate your help. Also, any recommendations for what brand mixing valve and/or aquastat to use and where to purchase?
THANKS!!!
