As the control would not be warranteed with replacement parts, you take full responsibility for accidents after swapping parts to rebuild. You did not identify the fuel, but as it is an 8148A line voltage control, it is probably an oil burer, which means the primary control might be locked out or malfunctioning, so just buying a new 8148A could be an expensive, though unnecessary, test instrument.
