: I have a Kwanee oil fired steam boiler (converted from coal) heating my 3200 sq ft home AND domestic hot water. It has run well and been serviced more or less regularly for 15 yrs. Lately, I have not been able to see air space in the site glass tube. I normally have 3/4 to 1-1/2 inch air showing in top of tube. Heat has been good in 13 steam radiators, but hot water only lasts 3-5 minutes in shower. Can the tube feed be clogged w/ sediment. I'm hesitant to add water to the boiler without knowing the proper level Help?!
