: : I recently purchased a home heated with this boiler. The boiler began leaking yesterday (can't determine from what location), I have no documentation. The unit is being fed water from the supply...but I smell a hint of anti-freeze around the boiler. Should I shut the boiler down? I am looking for someone to service the unit in the Detroit / Metro area...any suggestions?

We sujest that you call your local plumbing company and have them remove that boiler and replace it with a Weil-Mclain CGT boiler. We do have a few of these troubled boilers here in the North East, nobody wants to repair them, we just have to replace them.
