My service guy just replaced the "spirovent" and thermal expansion tank on our home heating system. (Because the spirovent was leaking.) A day later, the thermal expansion valve started leaking big time. I replaced the valve myself with a Watts valve that I think should be the equivalent to the one I took out. 30 PSI. The new valve leaks about 3 gallons of water in 12 hours. It drips when the boiler gets up to temp. Would I be able to stop the drippig by readjusting the aquastat? It is presently set at 200 degrees.
