I have a leaky Burnham V-7 like everybody else that owns or has owed one.My local oil co.is going to replace it free with the cost of labor of course (800.00).I want to have the instant hot water coil and mixing valve replaced at the same time, aprox cost $350.00.My oil guy thinks I should have a separate indirect stanless watertank installed for more consistant hot water and a lower operating cost.approx cost $1500.00.The hot water has been somewhat of an issue in our home being inconsistant and not always being available but I'm hoping for better results with the new parts being installed. Can anyone tell me if it's worth the extra $ for the holding tank or should I just replace the coil and mixing valve and leave it at that?
