Sounds like the pressure relief valve (top of transfer tank) is not fully closing. It might have flakes of mineral deposits on the seat.

Disturbing the system (bleeding air, draining and refilling, etc.) knocks the flakes loose.

Manually operating the pressure relief valve might dislodge the flakes.

Yesterday, I had to partially drain my system and remove the valve, to soak it in CLR (calcium lime rust remover - from hardware store) to get it to stop seeping.

REMEMBER: HOT WATER WILL FLOW / SPRAY FROM THE OPEN PIPE IF YOU MANUALLY OPERATE THE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE!!! YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE A HOSE OR PIPE TO CONTROL WHERE THE WATER GOES.)
