Just to clarify - a cold start still requires the boiler to maintain its low limit temperature? or does it literally shut off until there is a call for DHW heating?

Any idea what the condensing boilers efficiencies are when the HWR temps are above condensing high limit?

Are condensing boilers the only ones that are cold start? And doesn't cold starting create problems with condensation in the boiler - leading to decreased life? Do SS or Al heat exchangers in cold start boilers help diminish condensation concerns?
