Gravity feed in power outage with baseboards

Will gravity feed work with hot water baseboards fed by small copper pipes? (ie. in the case of power outage and having only enough generator power to run the burner, not the cirulator pump). I've successfuly used gravity feed in my old home which had large cast iron rads; I ran the burner off an inverter running off my car, and open a flow valve on the pipes to let gravity work). My new home is oil fired hot water with baseboards, and three zones (one circulator). The zone valve appear to have an "open" switch, which (although the throw seems very small to really open things up) I assume is to allow flow in cases when there's is no electricity to power them. But with the small copper pipes running from the furnace and to the baseboards, will gravity feed be effective?
