Originally I was going to use the Grundfos circulators UPS15-42 because they are variable speed. I also was going to go with a standard flow check on the return side of each zone, however the boiler installer said I should perhaps go with the Taco 007-IFC (internal flow check) Oh! I thought , I could save a little bit of money. At this point I believe that I am not happy with the Taco's. I have ghost flow through the zones and my boilermate water going in is exceeding the 155 degree maximum and is flashing an ER-2. I am thinking that perhaps I need a true primary and secondary loop, connecting the supply line to the return line using close proximity tees. Perhaps if the water leaving the boiler mixes with the return water before flowing through the pumps then the zone loop will not be so hot, and then when the thermostat calls for heat then the boiler fires and the pumps run. I guess this is right. I know enough to be dangerous.
