I am planning to replace my 70 year old steam boiler that heats 450 feet of steam radiation. Today, I also have a hot water loop running off the lower part of the boiler to heat around 30-feet of baseboard for an addition. I also heat two rooms with radiant floor heat that is heated by a hot water heater that also heats the domestic hot water.

I think it would be more efficient to run all my heating off a new boiler. I would keep the domestic hot water on the present water heater. My questions are:

1. How many BTUs can I run off the tankless coil of a boiler? Does it make sense to use this for the water loops?

2. Am I on the right track in planning the installation? I welcome advice on how best to plan this system
