indirect water heater placement

I recently installed my own hydronic system to replace my old electric heat. A 100,000BTU Burnham boiler supplies heat to approximately 2400sqft when I add an addition. The system was professionally tuned and runs excellently. Right now the indirect water heater is next to the boiler in a corner of the basement (the only place it could be installed). It takes a few minutes for the shower water to get hot as the run is about 40 ft. I am planning an addition with a bath that will have a total run of 70ft. Efficiency-wise, is it better to keep the water heater close to the boiler to minimize boiler water temperature drop(the pipes will cool down between calls) or to place it as close to the baths as possible to reduce running the hot water. 3/4 copper pipe (insulated) is used throughout so moving the heater is not a big deal.
Thanks,
Derek
