I have a ocean style ff boiler that i am told is 14 years old and i should scrap it. It has just developed a problem it only happens from time to time, usually when the boiler is used for the first time that day. It makes a banging noise and the pressure gauge jumps around up to about 2.5 bar then it cuts out altogether and the pilot light goes out. It won't then start for about 5 minutes. Can anyone help?
