steam boiler leak

I am adding water to the sight glass twice a day on my Burham steam boiler. I know there is a leak, I've replaced the radiator air vents, the steam traps don't appear to be leaking and I've checked all the exposed pipes and can't find a leak.

Last night just after the fire had shut off I noticed
a drip every so slightly at the connection right at the boiler jacket where the return condensate flows back into the sight glass.

Do you think this small leak is sufficient to account for the need for the constant make up water and if this is the problem, how do I get to this connection without opening up the boiler?

Is this a DIY project?? Please help.
