: Hello,
: I've got a very small home system running and oil fired Weil-McLain P-366HE WT Boiler. This also supplies hot water through a coil on that boiler.

: There is only one thermostat and one zone. Actually it has two circulators but they are wired together as one zone in a very small home.

: I have been hearing buzzing or chattering coming from the relay in the Honeywell Aquastat model L8124A1007. I know it's this relay because I can feel it. It only does this when the boiler shuts off. I thought I had solved it by spraying the contacts of that relay with cleaner a few months ago. however...

: Yesterday it started buzzing again so I replaced the Aquastat unit with a new L8124A. To my surprise the new unit has the exact same problem.

: I'm stumped. any ideas?
: Thank you very much,
: Chris
sure, the cover is touching the relay causing the normal operation to become objectionable to you the home owner. take the cover off. sometimes the clearances are so close that even squeezing the cover in replacing it during installation can cause the very symptom you are encountering.
