Replacing back boiler with combi boiler

Hi,
After some advice really. The central heating/dhw system in a flat I'm buying is currently powered by a back boiler and I am considering changing to a combi based system. Don't know what boiler it is (surveyor described it as "of modern type" whatever that may mean!)

Currently the back boiler is sited inside a chimney/flue with the water tanks in an airing cupboard immediately to the left-hand-side.

Is it possible to fit a combi boiler inside the airing cupboard and vent into the existing chimney - the property is grade 2 listed so I can't really vent through external walls.

Ta

Dave
