You can replace any fire box, Called the combustion chamber..I am a pro and been in the business for over 20 years !!! 1st get someone who has been in the business of oil fired equip and ask him to go to Sid Harveys and get 3/4 or 1" K Wool Board and Blanket and Water Glass Glue if its a wet base boiler,Have him tear it apart and clean it good ! Wire brush in down to metel or cast iron and then have him build a new combustion chamber,,Its easy and your set for many more years..Try to stay away from what is called wet packs as they do not hold up that well. Hope this helps

My fuel oil dealer says he cannot fix my HB Smith BB14 boiler which has a collapsing firebox because no aftermarket fireboxes are available. A plumber and 2 heating equip distributors tell me that suitable fireboxes are available, but no one knows where. I have failed to identify any by searching the internet. The old one is now a safety hazard and this problem needs fixing ASAP. Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated.
