I just installed a new Peerless boiler with a Honeywell Auquastat model L8148E. The transformer is bad. Can the transformer be replaced, or do I need to purchase a new Auquastat?
Also the unit did not fire on a call for heat, the pilot is fine but the gas valve was stuck. There was 24 VAC going to the gas controller (standing Pilot) After pressing one of the saftey temperature reset buttons (cycling the 24 VAC to the gas control on and off)the gas valve opened and the burner fired. Will the gas valve free up after some use? The gas valve is also a Honeywell.
