Water Feeder

I have a 1995 Peerless Boiler with a McDonnell low level cutoff/blowdown. I'm getting a signal to the water feeder when there is low water and the valve opens and water enters okay. When the water level rises to the top of the sight tube, the water feeder does not close. I can see that the power stays on to the solenoid on the feeder. Any thoughts?

I just moved in and I'm not sure of the previous maintainence. I did blowdown the unit several times and much dirty water exited prior to the steam.
