Hi
I have a Worcester-Bosch 28cdi combi boiler, recently I have heard the boiler making high pitched noises when i switched on my central heating. I found that the pressure was way up over 3bar, I managed to find the release valve and let out excess water which lowered the pressure and stopped the noises. The next day i found the pressure back up again, it seems to increase fairly quickly (usually over a few hours) whether the heating or water is switched on or not! I have been told by a plumber that the filling point valve section could be faulty and letting in excess water increasing the system pressure to the mains pressure, I have looked into this and it doesn't seem plausible as to put water into the sealed system you have to insert a plastic key which helps the water bypass a gap in the filling section. does anyone have any ideas?? what else can cause pressure to increase in this boiler???
