: Could anyone say what the min and max pressure limits are for a Vaillant VCV sine 18? How much should one expect the pressure to vary during normal operation?

The pressure will vary from below 1 bar to near 2 bar for many hot water heat systems as the water temperature rises the pressure rises due to water expansion.

: The dial goes up to 4 bar and has a red marker at 2.5. What does this red marker signify?
US boilers have the majority of residential boilers reach up to 30 psig (g is gauge) or about 2.5 bar (absolute.) European boilers tend to adopt similar standards. The red pointer is most likely a reminder of the maximum expected.
