The L8124L is the more common control used for an oil boiler with hot water coil. Only Honeywell can call their hot water controls 'Aquastat' because they invented and own the name. They are both 'triple function controls.'

: I dont want to keep bugging you but I still have a question. Based on the diagrams you proveded, my existing white rodgers aquastat is a "Triple Function Controller" and the L8124 Series is an "Aquastat Relay". The difference that I can see is in the diagram is that the relay has the thermostat connected directly and seems to have the switching relay built in while the controller diagram shows a separt switching relay with the thermostat conected to it. I guess I am just looking for reassurance that the 8124 will function
