My 1860 faemhouse has steam radiators (1 pipe).
If you have this, you can use a large pipe
wrench to loosen the nut. One it is backed up you
can walk the radiator back away from the shutoff.
Make sure you close the valve. Next, inspect the
ball fitting and replace it if necessary.
The radiator is hundreds of pounds so you must be
carefull in moving it. If it falls it will probably
go right through the floors below to the basement.
Assembly is the reverse, making sure that you
get at least 1/8 of a bubble on a level so the
water drains down to the shutoff.
